Youth House Party
20-22 January 2006

Young People being creative

18 teenagers enjoyed a weekend of teaching, games and activities looking at inequality in the world and its effect on peace and unity. It was led by Charlotte Mears and Ian Ring with help from Jo Ellis, particularly with the music. On the Sunday the group led morning worship at the Beacon Church Centre, Rubery

Peacemaking Priorities
27 -28 January 2006

Charlotte Mears welcomes
Bruce Kent

Led by Bruce Kent and John Johansen-berg with input from the Barnes Close team of Ian Ring and Charlotte Mears 25 people met to look at issues surrounding war, peace and violence. It was an encouraging time and now John, Ian and Charlotte are going to work on ideas put forward on how CfR can develop its role in promoting peace and reconciliation, particularly amongst children and young people

Romania & Croatia
17-18 February 2006

16 people enjoyed a fascinating weekend at Barnes Close when Janos Antal from the Reformed Church in Romania updated us on the current situation in Romania whilst Clive Fowle spoke about the Touch of Hope project in Croatia. The conference was facilitated by John Johansen-berg and the Barnes Close team of Ian Ring & Charlotte Mears
